Giveaway: Martha Stewart Glitter Set!!!

Well it's Saturday and today is my actual 1 year blog anniversary (yay)! It's also the last giveaway in my week of giveaway's everyday.

I can't believe it's been a whole year already. My first post seems like yesterday and forever ago all rolled into one. It took me so long to write and really wasn't even that good, but it was a start.

One thing's for sure though- posting that first time I never would have imagined that one year later I'd have the type of week this one's been. Really, this has been so much fun!

Now down to business. Here it is....

The piéce de la résistance. Arguably one of the most coveted crafty materials out there at the moment. (I almost didn't get it because the craft store has been sold out for weeks...)

Cue the music from 2001: A Space Odyssey-

Dun,

Dun,

Dunna!

The Martha Stewart essential glitter set! 24 Glorious Shimmery Jewel- like colors.

When I first saw this set I wanted it... badly. In fact I stalked it in the craft store for over a month. Casually walking by a few times whenever I was there (I'm pretty sure they thought I might steal it I looked at it so many times). I will also fess up to one (ok- two) trips especially to contemplate (alright!! gaze at) this set.

I don't even normally go for glitter all that much. Sure, I had some in the craft stash for emergencies. And that seemed good enough until I saw all those colors... oh the colors...

Hematite (not mere silver), onyx, lapis lazuli and florentine gold!

But I couldn't- in fact wouldn't buy it at the price they were charging (I mean it's glitter not actual jewel dust). Despite that I just couldn't get these gorgeous colors out of my mind.

When I unwrapped my set on Christmas I was ridiculously excited- thrilled really!

But it hit me- part of the reason I was so excited was because I really never would have bought this set for myself.

And I bet I'm not alone.
So if you've wanted this glitter but can't bring yourself to buy it this one's for you.

Here's How To Enter:

1. Leave a comment telling me something you might use this glitter for (good for one entry). And if you've stalked this glitter in the craft store too please let me know, it'll make me feel better.

If your a follower or become a follower mention it in your comment and you automatically get an extra entry. (Total of 2 chances to win!)

2. Regardless if your a follower or not- link to this giveaway on your blog and you get an extra entry (please leave the link in your comment so I can verify it).

That's up to three chances to win!

This giveaway ends on Saturday, January 23rd at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time and is open to international entries. I'll choose a winner using a random number generator and announce it on Sunday afternoon.

Good Luck and Thanks for Entering!

Update: Mellisa Rock you won Friday's Rock, Paper, Scissors Giveaway!!! Congratulations!

Crafty Giveaway: Rock, paper, scissors

Yay it's Friday!

Thank You for the responses to Thursday's Cupcake themed giveaway it was so interesting to hear about the new crafts you'd like to try.

All week I've been giving away things related to my first year of blogging or materials that I think are essentials for crafting. Adhesives, paper and quality scissors are basic necessities in my craft studio. I'm always searching for the perfect glue for a particular project. Whether it's a good general glue, something acid free for scrapbooks and photos or glue for felts and fabrics. I also love to have tiny sharp scissors for paper cutting... and well the paper is a necessary because I love to work with paper.

Today's giveaway is for a pack full of these three crafty essentials. When I decided to give this package away the Rock, Paper, Scissors game immediately jumped into my head.

So here we go- we have some glue that dries as hard as a rock

and some that doesn't

some that's friendly to the rocks and trees

And there's some printed pattern tape the just rocks!

There's a variety of decorative and solid color papers

A small pair of scissors, perfect for cutting details since they are only about 5 inches long. And they are adhesive resistant so they can cut through tape and glue without getting crudded up (in the crafty version of rock, paper, scissors I think that means scissors win instead of being crushed by rock).

To Enter:

Leave a comment telling me what your favorite choice is when playing rock, paper, scissors and why. If you're a follower or become a follower you get an extra entry!

This giveaway ends on Friday January 22nd at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time and is open to US residents (sorry international readers- I think glue is probably hard to get through customs). I'll pick a winner using a random number generator and announce it in my post on Saturday.

Good Luck and Thanks for Entering!

And here's your hint for Saturday's giveaway...well it's not really a hint so much as I'm just going to tell you what it is because I'm soooo excited about it. Saturday's Giveaway is going to be the 24 color pack of Martha Stewart Glitter! Yipee!

Update: SLK you won yesterday's Cupkins theme giveaway. Congratulations!

Giveaway: Martha Cupcake Paper Punch and Goodies

Happy Thursday- the weekend is just around the corner! And I have to say I'm really looking forward to Saturday's giveaway (not that today's or tomorrow's giveaways aren't fun... I'm just excited for Saturday, which is my actual blogiversary!)

I've had a lot of firsts in this last year of blogging.

I tried some new crafts :

Pysanky- Ukrainian Dyed Easter Eggs

And took some classes doing things I've wanted to try for a really long time:

Dyeing Fiber

and Yarn

Made my first cake

Had my first feature on another site

And guest post

I've also done my first online collaboration.

Every month Joanne, from Ready, Set, Craft! and I do a coordinated post called Cupkins. Together we decide on a theme for each month then Joanne makes a cupcake and I make a muffin around the theme. We post them the first Monday of each month. ( You can click here if you want to check out my Cupkins posts, click here if you want to see Joanne's)

Apple cider muffins from September

I got to know Joanne simply from blogging- first sharing comments, then emails and now collaborating on the cupkins posts. Over the past year we've become friends and it's exactly this kind of creative camaraderie that I hoped to get out of having this blog.

So in honor of firsts and friends I'm giving away this "Cupkins" inspired set of goodies,

the Martha Stewart cupcake paper punch (I got mine a while ago and it quickly became one of my favorite punches)

multi pack of glitter in a wide range of colors

cute cupcake stamp and mini ribbon

and some paper!

Valentines Giveaway: Craft Your Heart Out!

It's Wednesday and I'm halfway through my week of giveaways everyday in celebration of my one year blogiversary! And Wow... thanks so much for all wonderful comments, links and new followers this week!

I've had a blast reading through each and every comment and visiting your blogs. I especially liked reading the comments for Tuesday's e-book giveaway. It was great to hear what some of your blog goals are for this year.

Yesterday I hinted that today's giveaway was for a "Lovely holiday".

Something I knew about myself long before I started blogging was that I love to do crafts themed around holidays. Not only has this blog been a forum for sharing those projects but it's been an excuse to do even more of them (i.e. "What's that honey... you don't think we need to dye 2 dozen easter eggs since it's just the two of us... but I need some for the blog!).

If you want to check a few of my holiday crafts form the past I have the different holidays listed in the labels on my sidebar- this one is is Valentine's Day.

Today's giveaway is all about the next crafty holiday...Valentines Day!!! I've put together this selection of materials themed all around the holiday.

I love to use all of the things here...

Decorative Scissors and stamps (there's also a purple ink pad).

Mini ribbons

Heart shaped cookie cutters- good for way more than just making cookies- They make great tracing templates. I also use them a lot for cutting polymer clay (don't use them for food and clay though- just one or the other).

I found this really cute mini pack of Martha glitter... it even comes packaged with a neat little glue pen. (It's just not Valentines Day without a little sparkle!)

There are also doilies and these adorable heart shaped cards.

Oh yeah and I picked out some Valentines paper- because I love paper and card making, so that paper you see is included too!

Here's how to Enter:

1. Leave a comment telling me which holiday is your favorite for crafting (Good for one entry). And if you're a follower or become a follower mention it in your comment and you automatically get an extra entry (total of two chances to win)!

2. Regardless if you're a follower or not- if also link to this giveaway on your blog- you'll get an extra entry (Please leave the link so I can verify it).

That's up to three chances to win!!!

This giveaway ends Wednesday night January 20th at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time and is open to international entries.I'll choose a winner using a random number generator and announce who won in my post on Thursday afternoon.

And here's your hint for tomorrows giveaway- It a packs a punch of sweetness.

Thanks again for all the blog love this week- Good Luck and thanks for entering!

E-book Giveaway- Diane Gilleland's (from CraftyPod) Making a Great Blog!

It's day 3 in my week of giveaways. One of my goals this week was to share things that meant a lot to me over this first year of blogging. When I took a look back one thing definitely stood out- all the wonderful advise I've been able to find around the blogosphere.

In Monday's Sharpie giveaway I hinted that I would have something from Diane Gilleland of CraftyPod to giveaway. If you don't know CraftyPod, Diane's blog posts and podcasts are always chock full of ideas, interesting crafts, and invaluable information for bloggers and crafty businesses alike.

Today I'm giving away this e-book! (Which when I asked Diane about buying another copy for this giveaway- she was generous enough to donate, Thank you Diane).

This book was such a help to me in this new blogging adventure I felt I had to pass it along to another crafty blogger. And let me tell you- Diane really knows her stuff!

I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to focus their blog more and really find " it's voice". It covers all the basics you might have questions about as a beginner but also provides great information to someone who's been blogging for a while. It was an amazing eye opener for me, I hope the lucky winner finds it's just as inspirational!

To Enter: All you have to do is leave me a comment and if you want to, tell me one of your blog goals for this year.

This giveaway is open to international entries. The contest ends Tuesday January 19th at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

The winner will be picked using a random number generator- I'll announce who won Wednesday afternoon (January 20th). The winner will be emailed a copy of this book from Diane.

Good Luck and Thanks For Entering! (And here's a hint for tomorrow- I'll be giving away something super crafty for a Lovely holiday)

Update: The winner of yesterday's Sharpie giveaway was The Lil Missus! Congratulations!!! Please email me your address and I'll sent you your new pack of sharpies. I just want to thank everyone who entered yesterday- I was overwhelmed by the response! I really appreciate all the comments, new followers and the posts about this giveaway. Sharpie Giveaway!

Happy Monday. It's day two in the week of giveaways everyday!

Yesterday in the felted rabbit giveaway I said today's giveaway would be something no crafter can do without. And in my mind that's... permanent markers.

I lust after these sets in the office supply store- maybe it's the way the colors are all lined up. Perhaps it's something that goes back coloring with markers as a child. I don't know why, but I love them and practically have to have them when I see them. And I know I'm not alone on this one- a ton of you fellow crafters LOVE your sharpies too.

Now that there's the "sharpie buffet" (as I call it) in the office supply store where you can buy any color you want one by one it's so hard not to just dive into them... uhh I mean pick one or two up in a totally controlled and non-addictive way...

Back to the giveaway at hand (before I get myself into trouble with the Mister)- Today I have this 24 pack of Sharpies (fine point) up for grabs.

Here's How to Enter:

1. Leave me a comment telling me what your favorite color is (good for one entry). If you are a follower or become a follower mention it in your comment and you'll automatically get an extra entry (total of 2 chances to win).

2. If you also link to this giveaway on your blog- you'll get another entry. (Please leave the link in your comment so that I can verify it).

That's up to three chances to win!

The contest is open to US residents only (sorry, markers are hard to get through customs) and ends tonight (Monday Jan. 18th) at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. I'll choose a winner using a random number generator on Tuesday afternoon.

Good Luck and Thanks for entering!!! Here's a little hint for tomorrow's giveaway- I'll be giving away something by one of my favorite crafty bloggers.

Update: The winner of yesterdays felted bunny giveaway is Jenny! Congratulations Jenny- I'll be contacting you by email. I left a comment in yesterdays post answering a few questions that came up. I also left the link where you can download the bunny pattern (from fiber trends) for anyone who might still like to make a bunny.
