Giveaway: Martha Stewart Glitter Set!!!

Well it's Saturday and today is my actual 1 year blog anniversary (yay)! It's also the last giveaway in my week of giveaway's everyday.

I can't believe it's been a whole year already. My first post seems like yesterday and forever ago all rolled into one. It took me so long to write and really wasn't even that good, but it was a start.

One thing's for sure though- posting that first time I never would have imagined that one year later I'd have the type of week this one's been. Really, this has been so much fun!

Now down to business. Here it is....

The piéce de la résistance. Arguably one of the most coveted crafty materials out there at the moment. (I almost didn't get it because the craft store has been sold out for weeks...)

Cue the music from 2001: A Space Odyssey-

Dun,

Dun,

Dunna!

The Martha Stewart essential glitter set! 24 Glorious Shimmery Jewel- like colors.

When I first saw this set I wanted it... badly. In fact I stalked it in the craft store for over a month. Casually walking by a few times whenever I was there (I'm pretty sure they thought I might steal it I looked at it so many times). I will also fess up to one (ok- two) trips especially to contemplate (alright!! gaze at) this set.

I don't even normally go for glitter all that much. Sure, I had some in the craft stash for emergencies. And that seemed good enough until I saw all those colors... oh the colors...

Hematite (not mere silver), onyx, lapis lazuli and florentine gold!

But I couldn't- in fact wouldn't buy it at the price they were charging (I mean it's glitter not actual jewel dust). Despite that I just couldn't get these gorgeous colors out of my mind.

When I unwrapped my set on Christmas I was ridiculously excited- thrilled really!

But it hit me- part of the reason I was so excited was because I really never would have bought this set for myself.

And I bet I'm not alone.
So if you've wanted this glitter but can't bring yourself to buy it this one's for you.

Here's How To Enter:

1. Leave a comment telling me something you might use this glitter for (good for one entry). And if you've stalked this glitter in the craft store too please let me know, it'll make me feel better.

If your a follower or become a follower mention it in your comment and you automatically get an extra entry. (Total of 2 chances to win!)

2. Regardless if your a follower or not- link to this giveaway on your blog and you get an extra entry (please leave the link in your comment so I can verify it).

That's up to three chances to win!

This giveaway ends on Saturday, January 23rd at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time and is open to international entries. I'll choose a winner using a random number generator and announce it on Sunday afternoon.

Good Luck and Thanks for Entering!

Update: Mellisa Rock you won Friday's Rock, Paper, Scissors Giveaway!!! Congratulations!
I swear I picked it with a random number generator... Melissa as you said I guess you were meant to win it since you are a Rock.

  1. You're not alone! I too, have drooled over it on "sanity trips" to the craft store (after the kids are in bed and my hubby is home and I HAVE to go walk around somewhere). I couldn't spend the $ on it either, but shwing! The colors... I really want to try the photo glittering that Martha featured.

  3. I have hungrily glanced at this set. Oh Martha, why must your glitter cost so much?! But it is divine. So many things I want to play with it for! First and foremost I think I would want to use it for my little hat and hair piece business called March Hair Mad Hatter. I think it would bring each of our little pieces something extra! :D

  9. That is such an awesome set! I haven't been stalking it in the craft shop simply because I've never seen it before, we don't seem to get Martha Stewart stuff here, which is probably just as well for my bank balance. The colours are gorgeous. I saw this lovely post on Zakka Life the other day and that's the first thing I'd do with it:

  10. Love this! I have some clear christmas ornaments that I am going to fill with sand to give to my mother in law and sister in law for Christmas next year after our trip to the beach this summer - this glittler would be perrrrrfect to mix with the sand - not to mention the hand made gift tags and christmas cards that I have to plan for!

  11. Your not alone...I have been stalking this glitter set, too. However, I always have my husband with me and he pulls me away. I am a big glitter fan. Sparkly items seem to grab my attention. Glitter use ideas: add to scrapbook pages (write cute words, names, etc.), add to my handmade cards, glitterize the ornaments I made for Xmas (they would look divine with some sparkle), and to add to this Happy Birthday paper banner I am planning on making. Thanks for the chance!

I put glitter on probably 85% of my cards so I would use that glitter on the 15% that doesn't have any then put more glitter on the cards that already have glitter!

I'm still stalking this glitter set =/ The MS section is always my first stop when I go to Michaels. A girl can never have too much glitter, especially with those colours!

  52. I would love this. I would use it in decopodge... some letters for my dd room1 :) and ornaments for valentines day.

    LOVE IT!

  53. That's funny, because I think that we are all stalkers, I didn't see this one at my store, but she does have something similar that I stalked for a while and when it went on sale I picked it up and it wasn't as cool as I thought it was going to be;{ It was not in cute little tubes, more like flat plates and was really hard to use.
    I would love to use these to make valentines and also for scrapping and of course card making! How cute would it be to glue the edges of cute multi shaped hearts and put multi colored glitter on them and put them on boxes, ornaments, banners, and of course cards;}
    Thanks for the opprotunity!!
