Halloween Wrap-up

This year was as low key as Halloween gets around here. The night was cool (but not too cold) and rainy, but we still had a great time. It was the second in a row that I made my own costume. I was excited about it because I was the character from one of my favorite Halloween stories.

The headless horseman.

Thankfully making this costume didn't rely on my bad sewing skills. It was mostly constructing some fake shoulders using poster board, newspaper, and duct tape. And pumpkin carving! I used a artificial pumpkin so it was lightweight. And taped some LED lights inside.

I also carved a real pumpkin to go with my theme.

And since I can't resist having at least one classic Jack-o-lantern, I carved this happy faced guy.

Hope you had a great Halloween too!

  1. Wow, that's a good 'n scary costume! Lovely pumpkins too. :)

  2. Great costume and excellent pumpkins! Our Halloween was quiet, too--a bit rainy & not many kids came, but still fun to see the little ones with their cute costumes.

  3. Thanks Ladies : ) Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!
