Felt Food Strawberries with Free Berry Container Template

Here's the latest item from my Christmas gift felt food-athon. (Try saying that five times fast.) A pint of fresh strawberries. Complete with a berry basket made from felt too.

Since there are a ton of great strawberry tutorials out there, I'm not going to go into detail on how to make the berries. (Instead I've included a few links to tutorials below.)

But when I decided I wanted to make a felt basket to hold them all- I couldn't find an example or tutorial anywhere. And I ended up winging it...

First I cut a rough berry box shape out of paper and revised it until I was happy with the size and shape. Then used my paper version as a template to cut the basket shape from a sheet of stiffened craft felt.

Once the basket was cut, I folded it and used an adhesive made especially for craft felt to glued the tabs in place on the inside. (If you don't have felt glue you can use Tacky, or most white craft glues instead).

I taped the corners with painter's tape to hold the basket together while the glue dried. When it was dry I removed the tape and had a nice sturdy little basket for all my berries.

And because I had such a hard time finding a pattern for a felt berry basket; I decided to make mine into a FREE downloadable template.

This pattern is available for personal, non commercial use only.

And if you want step by step instructions for making some berries to go with it- here are a few links to some great tutorials that use the same basic technique I used for mine.

  5. The wedding cake. Unique and central to wedding ceremonies throughout history, so intrinsic and artistic they have earned their own TV shows and decorating contests. They come in all sizes and shapes, all themes, often eschewing the traditional white frosting in favor of chocolate, pastel or even gilded with gold, multi-tiered, unusual fillings, flavors, and just plain bizarre. Some celebrity comfort food are spectacular, others surprisingly modest, with everything in between. The Royals pull out all the stops, as do many rock stars. They embody the phrase "too pretty to eat" and have evolved into an art form unto themselves, reaching into the stratosphere of pricing, in some cases costing far more than the bride's gown. All-in-all, weddings take the cake.

  22. Food safety standards are crucial for exporters in the global food industry. Buyers need to know that the food and food ingredients they buy are not tainted or otherwise contaminated, as they are likely to be liable should their customers fall victim to food poisoning. Recent, blatant cases of food contamination in Japan and China have shed a spotlight on the need for globally trusted, third-party inspected food production and safety standards. The ISO 22000 was issued in 2005 to fill this need. Other standards are in place originating in the US and Europe. 토토사이트먹튀검증
