We've been to Plymouth before so we skipped the tourist stops but I did sneak in a little shopping at a yarn store I found.
It was dyed by a local fiber artist. The color is called "cape sky. and the tag says it was "hand dyed in a lobster pot and hung to dry in the salt air of Cape Cod". Mohair/wool blend. Found in a little shop called Knitting Treasures.
I'm convinced that I treat yarn like a souvenir, I'm not sure I'll ever knit this but every time I look at it I'll be reminded of when I bought it. And maybe just maybe fiber absorbs some of the energy around it and it soaked up some of that salt air and seaside relaxation!
Oooh, so pretty. Love the thought of it drying in the Cape air.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color - keeps me yearning for summer! Glad you had a great trip - hoping for more pictures! :)
